Oracle Retreat. 5th-7th March. Ciliau Aeron, Wales
Long before algorithms decided what we should see...before influencers told us what to think...before self help books, podcasts and endless opinions lived in our pockets...there were Oracles.
People travelled across mountains and seas to seek guidance from the Pythia at Delphi. The Sibyls of Greece and Rome spoke in poetry and mystery. Across Wales, Ireland and Scotland, sacred wells, poets, seers and wise women listened for the wisdom carried by the land itself. Indigenous cultures across the world have long honoured dreams, the body, the natural world and altered states as places where guidance can be received.
These traditions were never really about someone else having your answers, but rather were about creating the conditions where wisdom could emerge....Through ritual, stillness, relationship with the body and nature. Through symbols, dreams and deep listening.
Somewhere along the way, many of us forgot how to listen. We were taught to seek certainty instead of wisdom and to ask everyone else what we should do, to value logic over instinct, productivity over presence, and external validation over our own lived experience.
We second guess ourselves, disconnect from our bodies, silence the quiet voice that so often knows long before our minds catch up.
But that voice has never left - your intuition isn't something you have to earn, it isn't a mystical gift reserved for a chosen few - it is your birthright.
Like any relationship, it simply needs to be nurtured.
This weekend is an invitation to remember. To slow down enough to hear yourself again and reconnect with the intelligence of your body.
To explore ancient oracle traditions not as something to imitate, but as inspiration for awakening your own inner guidance - you are not here to become dependent on another teacher, healer or oracle. You are here to remember that you carry your own sacred knowing, and over the weekend we'll cultivate the practices that help us hear it.
Together we'll explore:
✨ Seasonal ritual and ceremony
✨ Celtic, Greek and indigenous oracle traditions
✨ "My Body as Compass" - learning to hear and trust your body's wisdom
✨ Somatic movement and embodied intuition
✨ Meditation, visualisation and energy activations
✨ Sacred sound journey
✨ Deep listening practices
✨ Divination as a tool for self-awareness rather than prediction
✨ Nature connection and communion with the elements
✨ Breathwork, Yoga Nidra and nervous system nourishment
✨ Spaciousness, reflection and integration
✨ Creativity as oracle through a silver ring making workshop, creating a talisman to carry your intentions and inner knowing home with you
You'll leave not with someone else's answers, but with practical rituals and embodied practices that help you cultivate an ongoing relationship with your own intuition. There will be plenty of time to rest, wander, journal, laugh, connect with others, or simply be. Nothing is forced. Everything is invitational. You are welcome exactly as you are.

What the Water Told Me.
Selkies, Sacred Springs & the Wisdom of the Water. Ty Glyn Davies Centre, Ciliau Aeron, West Wales. 7th-9th May
Water has always been a place of mystery, healing and connection. Across the UK and Ireland, long before modern borders were drawn, people turned towards the waters as sacred places. They were sources of renewal, wisdom and relationship with the unseen world. Sacred springs, seashores, rivers and lakes were honoured as places where the ordinary and extraordinary met. For centuries water is where people came to seek healing, guidance, blessing and transformation. This retreat is an invitation to return to that relationship.
Held amongst the wild beauty of Wales, What the Water Told Me is a journey into the element of water and the wisdom it holds. A weekend to reconnect with the rhythms of nature, the stories of our ancestors and the deep intuitive knowing that flows within us.
For thousands of years, the Celtic peoples have honoured water as a living presence. Wells and springs were places of pilgrimage and ritual, often associated with healing, protection and the spirits of the land. Across Wales, England, Ireland and Scotland traditions grew around sacred waters.... People would leave offerings, seek guidance, honour guardians of the springs and recognised water as a bridge between this world and the Otherworld. The element of water invites us to reconnect with our emotional wisdom, our intuition, our creativity and our ability to surrender what no longer serves us. It nourishes, cleanses and transforms. Energetically, water reminds us that healing is not always about fixing or forcing, but rather about allowing, listening and creating space for what wants to emerge.
Selkies are among the most haunting and beloved figures in Celtic folklore, found in the coastal traditions of Scotland, Ireland, Orkney and Shetland. Said to live as seals in the sea and shed their skins to become human on land, they have long been understood as liminal beings, belonging fully to neither world and moving between them with grace. Their stories are often told as tales of longing, freedom, belonging and the deep pull to return home. Beneath the mythology lie many helpful lessons for us in the modern world.
The stories of Selkies and water beings remind us that water has always been a realm of mystery, magic and transformation. Not simply a resource, but a living presence - a doorway into healing, intuition, imagination and connection with the unseen.
Together we will explore:
🌊The magic of sacred springs: exploring water as a source of healing, renewal and connection with the spirit of place.
🌊The language of the element of water: working with flow, intuition, emotion, cleansing and transformation.
🌊The many Celtic water beings: discovering the myths and teachings they offer us modern life.
🌊Our own inner waters: reconnecting with feelings, creativity, dreams and the wisdom held within the body.
🌊Water as spell, divination and portal : magical workings with water
🌊Connecting with living water in the form of waterfall / river and sea. A guided walk near an ancient site of water worship, down through a valley, to a secluded beach and out onto the headland. Optional sea dip. This walk involves steps and quite a steep climb back up. If this doesn't resonate youre welcome to enjoy the peaceful walled garden and stream that runs along the bottom of our accommodation site and connect with land and water that way.
We will share somatic practices, embodied movement, slow flow and restorative yoga, ritual, guided energy work, breathwork, creativity for fun, deep dives and sound ceremony. There will be opportunities to share if you wish, and time to go deeper with journalling, oracle card pulls and divination.

The waters have been flowing for thousands of years. They have witnessed generations rise and fall. They have carried stories, prayers, tears, dreams and hopes. The waters remember. And now it is time for us to remember , and reconnect too.
