Energy Work for the Dying & the Dead
Gentle support at life's final threshold
Death, like birth, is one of the great thresholds of human existence. It is a profound transition, not simply an ending, but a sacred passage.
Whether death comes suddenly or after a long illness, it can bring a deep need for peace, both for the person who is dying and for those who love them. Energy work offers a gentle, compassionate way of supporting this transition. It is not about changing what is happening or replacing medical or hospice care. Rather, it creates space for peace, comfort, connection and deep rest during one of life's most significant moments.
For over fifteen years I have worked as an energy practitioner, and for more than a decade I have supported people through the sacred thresholds of life transitions, death, pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. These experiences have taught me that transitions hold immense wisdom, and that how we are held within them matters deeply.
Birth and death are often described as opposite ends of life, yet they share so much. Both invite surrender. Both ask us to trust what cannot always be seen. Both deserve to be met with reverence, compassion and gentle presence.
Each session is led by your needs, your beliefs and your experience. There is nothing you need to do, believe or understand. Simply come as you are.
Supporting the Dying
As the body begins to slow and life naturally draws towards its close, energy work can provide a quiet, peaceful space to soften into the process.
Sessions are deeply restful and can be received alongside medical treatment, hospice care or palliative care. These sessions are remote, not in person (this works just as well if not better in my practise, I can get a clearer read of the subtler energies when not in person).
Energy work may help to:
-
Encourage deep relaxation and a sense of peace.
-
Ease feelings of anxiety, fear or overwhelm.
-
Calm an overactive mind.
-
Support the nervous system into greater regulation.
-
Create moments of stillness and comfort.
-
Help release emotional or energetic holding.
-
Help clear fear or anger held around dying.
-
Foster a sense of acceptance and surrender where appropriate.
-
Offer spiritual comfort, whatever your beliefs.
-
Reduce energetic exhaustion.
-
Support the person to feel deeply held and cared for.
-
Create a sense of connection with something greater than ourselves.
Every person's experience of dying is unique. My role is never to direct or influence that journey, but simply to offer a calm, compassionate presence and gentle energetic support for whatever is unfolding.
Energy Work After Death
The relationship we have with those we love does not simply disappear when they die.
For many people there can be a sense that something remains unfinished. There may be overwhelming grief, feelings left unsaid, or simply a desire to know that someone has been held with love as they make their onward journey.
Energy work after death is not about communicating with the deceased or making claims about what happens after we die. Rather, it is offered as a compassionate spiritual practice that honours the mystery of death while creating space for love, blessing, release and peace.
Many cultures throughout history have recognised the importance of tending to the energetic and spiritual aspects of death. This work draws inspiration from those traditions while remaining grounded, respectful and free from dogma.
Sessions may include holding gentle intention for the person who has died, creating space for blessing and release, supporting loved ones through grief, and offering energetic care during the period immediately following death.
Energy work after someone has passed may help to:
-
Bring a sense of peace.
-
Support the energetic process of letting go.
-
Create a feeling of completion where words were left unsaid.
-
Honour the life that has been lived.
-
Hold the deceased in love and compassion.
-
Help transition onwards - I always honour whatever beliefs may have been held by that person about what happens after we die.
-
Support loved ones as they navigate profound loss.
-
Create sacred space for remembrance and ritual.
-
Help families feel supported during funeral preparations and afterwards.
-
Offer comfort when the practical arrangements have ended but grief continues.
-
Encourage moments of stillness, connection and gentle healing.
-
A Gentle, Compassionate Presence
Death asks us to slow down.
It reminds us what matters, what we love and what it means to be fully human.
Whether you are approaching the end of your own life, supporting someone you love, or navigating the days and weeks after a death, you do not have to carry it all alone.
My intention is simply to offer a calm, grounded presence, a safe space where whatever arises is welcome, and gentle energetic support during one of life's most sacred transitions.
